  1.      Installation Guide for the Fujitsu DPL24C Plus Series Printer driver
  2.                for Lotus 123 Release 3.1

  4. 1. Insert the Fujitsu Driver Diskette into a floppy drive.
  5.  
  6. 2. Make the floppy drive current by using the DOS 'CD' command (change
  7.    directory command).
  8.         e.g. CD A:
  9.  
  10. 3. Now enter the command
  11.     INSTALL <pathname>
  12.     where <pathname> is the full path of the Lotus 123 directory on your
  13.    Hard Disk. For example, if the Lotus Directory is called 123R31, and is
  14.    on drive C: then the command to start installation would be:
  15.     INSTALL C:\123R31
  16.  
  17. 4. The Install program copies the appropriate files to the Hard Disk, and then
  18.    runs the Lotus 123 Install Utility. This utility is described in the
  19.    documentation for Lotus 123.
  20.    When the printer selection part of Lotus Install is entered, a list of
  21.    printer manufacturers will be displayed. Highlight the Fujitsu entry and
  22.    press return. Now select the Mono or Colour driver depending on the type
  23.    of ribbon installed in your printer.

  25. 5. A choice of resolutions and fonts will then be displayed. Select the mode
  26.    you require from the list.

  28. 6. When the Lotus Install utility makes the changes to the system configuration
  29.    it will ask which diskette drive you want to use for transferring the driver
  30.    files. Type the letter of the drive with the driver diskette in, then press
  31.    return to commence the file transfers.

  33. 7. After exiting from Lotus Install you will be returned to the command prompt
  34.    and Lotus 123 can be started in the normal way.

  37. TECHNICAL NOTE: During the installation process, changes have to be made to a
  38. file called INSTALL.DDF. The old file is copied to INSTALL.OLD before any
  39. modifications are made. Should you wish to go back to using the version
  40. that does not contain Fujitsu Driver details then copy INSTALL.DDF to
  41. INSTALL.NEW, and then copy INSTALL.OLD to INSTALL.DDF
